They suggest that we send a Bank draft to Hong
Kong in the name of Mr Harry Arnhold and that he shall ship the goods to us as the Banks there will not negociate drafts through Arnhold Karberg and Company.
Will you be good enough to inform us whether we are justified, in view of the King's Proclamation as to trading with the Enemy, in accepting delivery of, and paying for goods shipped under these conditions ?
We are writing to you because this firm have given us a copy of a letter written by you to them on
this subject of August 21st. last Reference C.
